Project Description:

A LUXURY HOME DESIGN
For a narrow steeply sloping site, the client requested a new home using classical architecture inside and out to exist as a landmark on the hill's crest as you cross the Ohio River from Cincinnati into Kentucky. Symmetry in its floor plan as well as its unique silhouette augment its luxurious character.

FLOOR PLAN
At the center of this compact floor plan is the Great Hall which doubles as a formal Dining Hall. While it's surrounded by a quadrant of rooms it draws direct daylight from its city view terrace and from the tall octagon shaped skylight lantern couched among the four chimney like piers above. A Loft and its balcony into the Great Hall let indirect daylight filter through. A Library which borrows light from the tall Breakfast Room bay window at the rear also lets indirect light though. A stair, gentle and wide at the bottom, wraps snail like up around the Great Hall past the Loft, steeper and slimmer at each turn, then from the Catwalk up a ladder to the ridge top Widow's Walk.

INTERIOR DESIGN
The same attention to classical detail continues at the inside and onto the built in cabinet work and furnishings.
