Flatiron re-interpreted
The events surrounding the 100th anniversary of Daniel Burnham’s 1909 Plan of Chicago led me to an exploration of Burnham’s many other accomplishments - master plan and otherwise. At the dawn of the skyscraper age, he in many ways dictated the trajectory of commercial design and early applications of steel-frame building construction.
