Project Description:
The new design organizes the classrooms into wings of departments, a centralized library media center, a performing arts auditorium with supporting classrooms, a kitchen area and a field house and athletics areas, all arranged off of a spinal corridor educational mall. The educational mall is entered from two ends with administration at one end defining the main entry and security visitor entrance.
The athletic gyms and auditorium were separated along the wall to comfortably accommodate simultaneous events in the auditorium and field house without internal interference. The kitchen cafeteria is situated between for use by both events. The mall is being constructed in Phase I to accommodate the schools projected enrollment.
The school’s curriculum addresses needs to elevate and specialize with higher level focused learning with career path classes catering to local business needs. A “financial cube” with teachings to mimic the needs of “wall street”, a refined culinary arts offering a high technology foreign language lab with central local kitchen to explore the eating cultures of the languages. The library has “E book” access and the entire school has Art electronic security surveillance.
